Description des services: Charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life, independence and community support for persons living with epilepsy

Programs and services: 
  • Educational workshops: epilepsy education and seizure first aid
  • Clinic to Community (C2C) Program: provide individual and their family with information about seizures and a network of support services
  • Epilepsy Classroom (caters to the individual learning and social-emotional needs of children who have intractable epilepsy, that is, ongoing seizure activity despite maximal medical treatment, as well as children who have recently undergone brain surgery for intractable epilepsy * an initiative of The Centre for Brain & Mental Health at The Hospital for Sick Children * contact Dr. Elizabeth Kerr, head of the Epilepsy Classroom, 416-813-8371)
  • Home-Based Self-Management and Cognitive Training Change Lives (HOBSCOTCH): 8-week sessions to help people living with epilepsy learn new strategies to improve memory and attention
  • Adults programs: individual support, counselling, and peer groups
  • Child and youth support services including training for teachers and camp leaders
  • Youth empowerment program: support for teens and young adults
  • Day camps for children with epilepsy
  • Seniors programs * educate seniors and caregivers about epilepsy and how to recognize seizure symptoms * tailored services to support health aging
